Mudgee has several local employment providers to assist jobseekers.  

With it's close proximity to Sydney, fertile soils and thriving country community, Mudgee enjoys a weekend swell of visitors to the local wineries, coffee shops and art studios.

Consequently, Mudgee's more recent primary employment industries are hospitality and tourism, viticulture, agriculture, mining and retail.  There has recently been a large increase in mining activities and job opportunities in nearby villages such as Gulgong, Ulan, Kandos & Rylstone.

Dubbo (1.5hrs), Bathurst (1.5hrs) and Orange (2hrs) are both within easy drive of Mudgee and offer plenty of professional  and trade positions as well as private boarding schools.  See below for useful links for courses.
