Mudgee has three lovely caravan parks, all on the edge of town, with established gardens and shady trees.
All three parks have cabin facilities available, though you may need to provide your own linen. There are another seven regional caravan parks, at nearby Windeyer, Gulgong, Burrendong Dam, Lake Windamere Rylstone & Charbon. Why not try camping at Lake Windamere, Burrendong Dam, Dunns Swamp, The Drip or country bunkhouse style accommodation for large groups. Travelling Stock Reserves (TSR)

In times gone by when graziers needed to move stock, they would move from one travelling stock reserve (TSR) to another where they could rest, feed and water their animals.
Today these places are still available for public recreation such as camping and swimming, but importantly they are still used for stock, apiary sites and conservation consequently there are restrictions such as no motorbikes, shooting or hunting, etc Look out for gatesigns with the TSR logo. There are quite a few around the Mudgee region. Halfway to Gulgong (12km from Mudgee) on the right hand side, after Lester's Lane and before Belinfante Bridge you will find a pleasant TSR along the banks of the Cudgegong River. Take care turning into the gate it's on a crest - best to go along and turn back to enter. Or try the Wilbertree Rd bridge several kilometres from Mudgee on the Gulgong Road turn right and travel along to the bridge area. You could also try Hargraves, Windeyer, Frog Rock, Home Rule, Wollar they're everywhere when you start looking. Please enjoy our beautiful local TSR's and leave them in the condition you find them. Travelling Stock Reserves (TSR) are parcels of Crown land reserved under legislation for use by travelling stock.
