Rosby Guesthouse Artist Workshops combine hands-on painting, printmaking and portraiture experiences led by award-winning artists, with a weekend of luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation, local food and wine. 2012 Rosby Artists Workshop Schedule and Events Printmaking Workshop, with Miriam Cullen: March 27 – 28 and May 26 – 27 This two-day workshop is suitable for absolute beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills. You will have the opportunity to produce an edition of your own beautiful prints — a black and white linocut and a two-block colour linocut. All printmaking materials and equipment are provided. The two day workshop is designed as an opening for beginners as well as experienced artists, with a range of techniques, composition and colour influences explored against Mudgee’s picturesque backdrop. There will be a focus on media and experimentation for advances as well as basic observational techniques for beginners. Cost: $200 Bookings 0428 635 993 Impressionist Landscapes Painting Workshop with David Newman-White: September 25 – 26 Learn how to capture a range of beautiful Australian landscapes on paper and canvas, in this weekend painting workshop focusing on the artist’s landscape palette. In addition to learning key skills of landscape composition, mixing colour, brushwork and palette knife usage, you will also gain particular insight into the work of iconic Australian landscape. This workshop is designed to suit both beginners and experienced artists.
