Pat Dickinson.

Pat Dickinson is a local Mudgee artist with a strong interest in Arabian horses and country landscapes.

Pat has a diploma in design and art from East Sydney Technical College (now known as the National Art School) and has continued her studies in life and still life painting at Mitchell College Bathurst and Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney and hs been on a painting tour with Eric Minchin to Broken Hill and Tibooburra

Pat has spent many years with the Little Theatre Group in Sydney, owned and operated an interior decorating business in Sydney and a small art gallery in Mudgee and has also taught weaving, pottery and leatherwork.

How do I paint the story you want to believe?

I make my hands and eyes into the tools I need to express the thoughts and feelings that lead to a visual story that can be as simple or as complex or as surreal as life itself.

Sometimes I can lift the veil on your memories and sometimes on your desires. Sometimes I can lead you to enchantment.

My painted stories involve things, places and people and they come to you most often in oil paint on canvas but sometimes as a mixed media creation.

I am inspired by an idea or a theme – universal or particular. Currently I am working on two themes – “Highways and Byways”, and “Music to the Eyes”. People have responded positively to themes I have explored in the past such as lines chosen from the works of T.S. Eliot and painted stories about precious objects.

I’d like people to feel that my art is addictive and that when they buy a piece they want to look at it over and over and let it tell them something new each time.

I want people to respond to the way I use colour and form to express an idea in a visually unique way. Although I paint quickly to capture my vision before it fades, my completed work is always executed with great care.

Georgia Mansur is an international award-winning artist who was born in California and now resides in the Mudgee valley.

Experienced in all media and with a particular passion for painting en plein air, Georgia regularly conducts workshops in Australia and overseas and her positive approach and friendly manner ensures every student feels comfortable, whether they are a raw beginner or seasoned professional artist.
