Cudgegong Cruisers Inc. in conjunction with volunteers from Can Assist – Mudgee & Districts Branch will be holding the 4th Annual “Can Cruise” a major fundraiser on Saturday 10th March 2012.

A one-day car and motor-bike rally called “Can Cruise” will commence from Mudgee Racecourse and travel to Rylstone for lunch via Cherry’s Café on the Ilford Road and Kandos, then returning to Mudgee Racecourse via Rylstone & Lue. Any registered vehicle can enter at a cost of $30.00 per adult, children 16 and under $5.00, infants 2 and under free, or $60.00 for a family ticket for 2 adults, up to 2 children. To make a fun day for everyone there will be; a “Show n Shine” in the morning for cars and bikes, a sack race and tyre rolling competition during the lunch-break, upon return to Mudgee Race Course a free jumping castle for the kids, to enjoy while having some dinner, and a drink at the bar for over 18’s.

Yabby races are also on the program. Cards will be drawn throughout the day for a poker run. Breakfast from 8:00-10.00am and dinner upon return will be available to purchase on the day, with lunch being provided for all participants. This will be a Family friendly fun day out with great prizes and trophies on offer. Entrants are encouraged to pre-register now, although entries will be accepted on the day, until 9.00am for Show n Shine, and until 10:00am for Can Cruise and Poker Run. 

What to bring; A sun hat, a smile, good humour, a spirit of fun and a desire to assist someone from your local community struggling through their cancer journey. Your day will be made that much better knowing you will be helping another Family or friend in your local community affected by cancer.

Can Assist – Mudgee & Districts Branch is one of 42 branches in NSW forming the Cancer Assistance Network that is actively involved in raising funds to provide financial assistance, emotional & practical support, information, care and accommodation for people in rural NSW affected by cancer.  Your local branch started in August 2008 and due to the active group of volunteer fundraisers, we have had the opportunity to assist many local people with oncology related pharmacy items, accommodation during treatment, travel, home aides, and utility expenses in times of financial hardship.
